We supply a range of
vehicle protection equipment.
It's a good idea to fit some underbody protection even for light offroading. Steering
components such as drag links are easily damaged. Any damage on the trail is
at best inconvenient and at worst potentially dangerous;- and although it is
possible to carry out repairs in the field, it's not fun removing a drag link for straightening whilst the vehicle is
axle deep in mud.
You may not need a full suit of off-road armour for your purposes, but the following range should help you find the best solution for your Land Rover and the type of use you put it to. You can see below the range of GUARDSMAN FF Steering Guards, these are good quality guards, many of which incorporate features such as a hot-dipped galvanized finish for durability and stainless steel bolts for corrosion resistance and appearance.
GUARDSMAN RHD Defender Steering Guard
This 1-piece Guard is manufactured from 6mm thick steel. The guard is finished in a hot-dipped galvanized finish for durability. These guards designed without holes so that do not just fill up with mud, they also feature reinforcement gussets welded on the top face for extra strength and are supplied with a bolt kit. They are compatible with our 'Standard' and SHADOW Tubular Defender Winch Bumpers and are great value at just £58
GUARDSMAN RHD or LHD three-piece Defender Steering Guard
The 3-piece Guard skid plate is manufactured from 6mm thick steel but it has 10mm thick brackets. But in addition it also has built in recovery eyes. The whole guard is finished in a hot-dipped galvanized finish for durability. These 3-piece guards are supplied with a bolt kit, are compatible with our Standard Defender Winch Bumper and are great value at just £85

Range Rover Galvanized Steering Guard
With a guard skid plate manufactured from 6mm AND 5mm steel brackets this guard
offers excellent steering component protection for both the Discovery I and
Classic Range Rover. This great quality Guard is hot-dipped galvanized which is
much more durable than the cheaper plating or passivating processes. To complete
the package the 3-piece guard is bolted together with smart stainless
steel socket head bolts.
As is fits on the outside of the chassis rails and has adjustable brackets
it fits with nearly all replacement winch bumpers
