FIND OUT WHY YOUR ENGINE NEEDS
It's the tiny steel particles that evade your vehicle's oil filter that cause the wear in your engine. These particles are a product of the normal running of an engine — an inevitable result of the interaction of rapidly moving metal parts inside your engine. Have a look at the cutaway filters below to see how much damaging abrasive metallic material is attracted to the FILTERMAG, preventing it from circulating around your engine, silently causing wear to vital components whilst you drive. These cut away oil filters (with their FilterMAG™'s still attached) shown above demonstrate graphically how the FilterMAG™ has captured thousands of metal particles that were missed by the oil filter. The powerful magnetic filtration enhancement system has completed the job begun by the traditional oil filter. Your lubrication system attempts to supply a very thin film of oil (around 10-micron thick) on the metal parts so they glide against each other rather than grind. Nevertheless, any tiny particles of metal which are missed by standard oil filters are able to penetrate this film due to the velocity of the oil flow. In this way contaminated oil is able to gouge engine parts at the microscopic level. This contributes to the cycle of engine wear and the generation of further damaging particles.
FilterMAG™ holds and traps steel particles against
the inner wall of your oil filter before they can cause engine damage —
resulting in a significantly cleaner flow of oil. FilterMAG's powerful Neodymium
magnets deploy a powerful unidirectional magnetic force to enhance the purity of
your lubrication system. Modern oil filters remove particles by forcing the
oil through paper-based media with very small ports. The technology behind this
filtering media is a compromise that has remained relatively unchanged since the
1930s. While oil is necessary to remove these damaging particles, it is equally
important that it flows back into the engine fast enough to lubricate all the
moving parts. Standard FilterMAG SS-365 - The Standard FilterMAG is designed for the oil filtration needs of light-duty automotive and truck applications and is particularly suited to classic Land Rovers. The SS-365 Standard FilterMAG fits oil filters with a diameter from 3.50" to 3.90" (which covers all Land Rover V8 and Tdi applications including the Land Rover Genuine Parts ERR3340 Oil Filter and K&N HP-3001 Performance Oil Filter). The eight Neodymium magnets attract and trap metal particulates as small as 2 microns in size and holds them tightly against the oil filter's walls. The SS365 will immediately begin cleaning your engine's oil without restricting or otherwise affecting oil's flow. £29.95
FilterMAG Heavy-Duty Oil Filter Magnet RA365 - The FilterMAG RA365 Heavy-Duty Oil Filter Magnet may be used for both standard- and high-performance applications. The RA365 Oil Filter Magnet is designed for the demanding needs of larger diesel and petrol engines, competition and racing engines. It is also ideal for larger vehicles including trucks, and other heavy-duty applications like plant and industrial applications. The RA365 fits oil filters with a diameter from 3.4 to 4.0 " (which covers all Land Rover V8 applications including the Land Rover Genuine Parts ERR3340 Oil Filter and K&N HP-3001 Performance Oil Oil Filter). The 12 Neodymium magnets attract and trap metal particulates as small as 2 microns in size and holds them tightly against the oil filter's walls. The RA365 will immediately begin cleaning your engine's oil without restricting or otherwise affecting oil's flow. The four additional Neodymium magnets on the RA365 are designed to trap particulates in high-flow applications, where the additional power is needed to attract/trap metallic particulates that are speeding by and to hold them fast against the high flow of oil surging past during racing applications. £39.95
TM
Series Transmission Magnet The FilterMAG™ Transmission Magnet
(TM360 & TM180) are designed to magnetically attract and hold the millions of
steel particles that are circulating in your transmission oil. Unless stopped
these particles will damage the delicate parts in your transmission.
